First discovered in Japan, the name hydrangea comes from the Greek "hydor," meaning water, and "angos," meaning jar or vessel. This roughly translates to "water barrel," referring to the hydrangea's need for plenty of water and its cup-shaped flower. With its wooden stems and lacy, star-shaped flowers packed closely together in a pompom.
In some instances, our photo may represent an overall theme or look and include a one-of-a-kind vase which cannot be exactly replicated.
Although the actual bouquet may not precisely match the photo, its temperament will. Occasionally, substitutions of flowers and/or containers happen due to weather, seasonality and market conditions which may affect availability. If this is the case with the gift you’ve selected, we will ensure that the style, theme and color scheme of your arrangement is preserved and will only substitute items of equal value or higher value.
If any design elements are of major importance to your order, please include them in the florist instructions at checkout or contact us to ensure availability.

I recently ordered a Heavenly Hydrangea floral arrangement from Ipswich Hearts N Flowers for my wife on our wedding anniversary. We were so happy with the arrangement - it is beautiful! The online ordering process was simple, and the flowers were ready for pickup at the time I requested. I’ve gotten flowers from Ipswich Hearts N Flowers several times over the past two years and have never been disappointed. They are my go-to local florist. Highly recommended!
